SNOWEY DAYS AND MONDAYS...
I don't know how it can be sunny and 70 one day and snowing and 35 the next. But, they say if we wait a few minuets the weather will change. Its like winter all over again. Strange weather we have. I remember when I was a kid and once the warm weather came, it seemed like that was the end of winter, not anymore. I think we have like 3 inches. YUCK! Hope where ever you are, your weather is nice and sunny and warm, and please send me some. Not sure what we will do. I wanted to work in Moms room, but not sure, if we need to go to the store. We aren't going until the weather gets better. I'm glad I went shopping on Friday and Saturday. I love the towels we got. I got a new purse and wallet for Spring. I think that helps make this winter weather more bearable. Lol. Hope you all have a nice day. Get better Jimmy S. I love you lots.

Sunny Saturday
Its Saturday and sunny. Going up in the low 50s they say and by the middle of next week, 60s!! Does that mean its Spring? Its been a long week. I went to the Doctors on Tuesday for a check up on my neck. Everything is good, which gave me a sigh of relief. Then yesterday I went to the lung doctor. He has been taking care of me since I had the surgery last September. The good news is that he took me off the blood thinning medicine and I'm doing great. I'm so happy to be off the blood thinner. It made me tired and just feeling sick like most of the time. I have been off over 24 hours and already can feel a difference. Dave is doing good. He has a check up this coming week. So, I'm hoping we stay well and we have a great summer. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I HATE SNOW !!!
Yes, I do. Its been the worse winter since I moved from New York here in Utah. We started off to our trip to the Benches. Some of you know the Benches and some of you don't. For those of you who don't, they are part of the mountains that are like benches. With the Rockies, they are like seats. They are start ups to the mountains. Well, we left around 7am. Its still dark out at 7am. I haven't been up and out that early in months, maybe a year. Lol. We had a snow storm yesterday that lasted into the night. When we went to bed, it was snowing and blowing. I knew we shouldn't go to the VA hospital, up on the bench, but Dave said the weather would be good and it would be ok. I was in bad mood all night. I woke up about 5am, and turned on the news. It has stopped snowing, but the roads were a mess. I asked Dave if still wanted to go and he said yes, but wanted to sleep until about 6:30am. Wonderful, he gets to sleep while I worry. I took a shower hoping, while I was, Dave would watch the news and when I came out from the shower, he would say we weren't going. That didn't happen, and we left around 7am. We started down our main road which is right outside our complex. The traffic was nuts, and the road where not even salted. Just before getting on the main road, the back door wouldn't open earlier when we got in and all of a sudden the light came on in the car. Grrr...I stopped and tryed to shut the door, but it was frozen. I told Dave I wouldn't leave that space until the door came ajar and I could shut it tight. We sat there for about 5 minutes or so. I then tried it and it opened and I shut it, tight!. We started on the main road again and it was so bad. Still waiting for Dave to say lets got back, he didn't so I kept going. The traffic was going so slow which was strange for Utah drivers. We just crawled. I think we got about a mile and it took us like 20 mins, and we still haven't reached the highway yet. Heaven knows what that looked like. I told Dave I wanted to go another way, and not use the highway. He wasn't talking. He knew I was upset and I new he was upset because all I did was b----. We got almost to the highway and Dave said take the next right. The main road is three lanes wide and I was in the middle. GRRRR...so I made my way over, which took another 5 minutes. We stopped and he called the VA hospital and told them we were having a hard time getting there, and we weren't even half way. He told them we weren't going to make it. I was so happy, but still upset because I knew I had to go back home yet. Grrrr...so we couldn't turn left because of the traffic being bumper to bumper. So we turned right and turned at the next red light. We made our selfs around towards home. We got almost home and I told Dave that I needed to go to the store and get some bread and a few other things. He said he didn't want to because of the traffic being so bad. I said we could go the long way, but I needed to go to the store. He seemed to be ok and we went to the grocery store. We got our things. Wow its funny that no one is shopping at 7:45am. Lol. We got done and I told Dave I needed coffee. Yes, I know its not good, but I was so tense that I needed some. I took him to Starbucks. I asked him if he wanted a hot chocolate. He said yes, and even wanted to go in with me. I then asked if we could sit in there and he thought that was great. He either was feeling better or he knew I was mad because we went out and didn't get to the VA. We had a good time at Starbucks. I really thought I would come home and he would be in one of his moods. We then came home and now he is sleeping in the lazy boy. Grrr...Glad he can rest. So, for you girls that don't get snow, I really wish I could send this all to you. I'm sick of winter and I'm sick of snow, sleet, white rain, ice and slush!!! I want Spring and I want it now. Hope your day is going good. Thanks for letting me vent.

SIALADENITIS
Well, I had a wonderful Friday night in the ER. Dave took me because my neck under my chin, on the left side swollen up like a balloon. Scared me to death. I had that happened when I got Thyroid Cancer in 2004. Although, it didn't swell as fast. I called my ENT, which of course was after hours and got the Doctor on call. Dr. Stevens, called back about 45 minutes later. I explained that I had thyroid cancer five years ago, and was nervous that it came back. Dr. Stevens explained that he didn't think it was cancer, but I need to go to the ER to get a Cat Scan. Wonderful. I took his advice, only because I think the worse and work backwards. Dave and I left around 5:30pm. We went to Intermountain medical center. Wow, is all I can say. It was packed. It must be, because it was a Friday night. I do have to say there are a lot of strange people in the world, not that I'm perfect, but I have to say there was on young man, that was bald. He had tattooed his head to look like it was hair. Strange. Dave and I sat in the ER waiting room for about 30 mins. I was really surprised because with all the people, I thought we would have a longer wait. The nurse came over to me and asked me if I was having trouble breathing. I said no, it just hurts like a sore throat when I swallowed. He then took some information and said to come back to a room. This is a new hospital, a trauma one. Which means it can handle anything. We got to the room and a female nurse came in and again asked if I was having trouble breathing. I said no..just swallowing and it wasn't bad, just felt like a sore throat. She then left and a male nurse came in and put me on oxygen. Why they do that, I don't know. So they took vitals and everything, and said the doctor would be right in. About 30 minutes passed, and the doctor came in. He checked me out and asked about my passed sicknesses. He then ordered blood work and a cat scan. Two nurses came back in and took about 6 tubes of blood and they put an IV in. They have such a hard time taking blood and starting an IV. They did a good job and it didn't hurt that much. A young man came and took me to get the Cat Scan. They injected a dye into the IV. It made me feel like I was having a hot flash, so it wasn't so bad. Lol. The tect said it would take about 20 to 30 minuets to get the results. I will tell you I was scared. I kept thinking the cancer was coming back. The ER doctor came in and said he had good news. He said there was no sign of a lump or cancer, and that I had Sialadenitis. Its pronounced sigh-a-lah-den-Eye-tis. It is an infection of the salivary glands. The doctor said one of my glands was plugged and it was causing an infection. WHEW...is all I said. He gave me an antibiotic called Keflex. I think I have to take it for two weeks and I should be ok. I will call my ENT doctor on Monday, and let him know what is going on. I just feel better if he knows. We got home around 9:45pm. We were both tired. I'm glad Dave was there. We take good care of each other. I'm feel ok, only like I have the flu or a cold. I have a little pain, in my neck. I will keep you posted. Hope you all have a great Saturday. WTG Tammi on your walk.

67 Degrees Yesterday, Snow Today
Wow..Winter is back here in Utah. It was so nice the past few days and last night a cold front come in and bam...it snowed. We only got like an inch, but I don't know how it could have been in the 60's yesterday and only 43 today with snow, although the snow is all melted. Can't wait until it stops snowing!! I went and got Betsy appraised. The man said it will cost about $1,100.00 to fix her. I don't have to pay a thing, the young mans insurance company will pay. But, the collision man said I could settle for a check for about $1,000. He said with the car being old and with little damage, I could get the light fixed and it would be ok. He said, as I did, one side of Betsy would be all shine and new and her other side would be old. We have to wait to see if the insurance will settle, but the collision man said they should. We will see. If the don't they will end up paying the $1,100.oo for the damages and to pay for the rental car. It has to be with hand controls, and a rent a car with that will cost about $500.00 or $600.00 because if the car gets fixed it will take about 4 or 5 days they say. So I think the will settled. Hope you all had a nice Thursday.

Good News!!
Good news today. The young man's insurance company called and said the young man is taking responsibility for the accident. Well, that's good because its was his fault. He admitted it. He is a nice young man, and I'm glad to see him taking responsibility. They are going to call me and let me know where to take Betsy and get her fixed.
I do want to let you all know its 68 right now here. Its sunny but very windy. Can this be Spring? We will see. Hope you all had a good Tuesday.

MONDAY AND PAPERWORK
This car accident is getting to be a pain. I called my insurance agent and he told me to call the young mans insurance agent to make sure he filed a claim. So that is what I did and now I have to wait until the young man's mother to give permission for the young man to give his account of the accident. Geee...! After she does and he give his account, then his insurance company will tell me where to take my car to get it fixed. So, I'm thinking about spring is when Betsy will be fixed. I will keep you updated. Hope you all had a nice Monday.

THE DAY AFTER...
Wow, what a day yesterday. I was so bored but by the time the day was ended, I would have rather been bored. I went to the post office and the grocery store to get some pop corn. I went to the store first. As I was coming out of the parking lot, a 17 year old male was pulling out of a parking spot kind of fast, in fact so fast I didnt see him. He hit my right passenger side door and broke a side light. At first I couldnt believe it. I was just driving in the parking lot to get out on the street. I go that way almost everytime I'm at that store. Well, I got out and I will tell you I was saying some really bad words under my breath. The young man was very nice and asked right away if I was ok. I said yes, and asked if he was ok. He then admitted to me that he didn't see as he pulled out. I didn't say anything. We looked at the damage he did to my car and at first I only saw the broken light. Its a small light, one is on each side of the trunk towards the rear. The boy said, "can I give you $20 for the damage?" He then told he got into another car accident two weeks ago. I just looked at him. I said I need to call my Husband. I called Dave and told him I was in an accident, but I was ok and Betsy was ok, except for a broken light. He said no matter what call the police and get a police report. I said but its small. He said it was up to me, but if it was him he would call the police. I told Dave I would call him back. I then went back over to the passenger said of the car and noticed a dent in the back door. Also the young man had a friend with him this time. He wasn't with him at the time of the accident. He was Chinese and begin to raise his voice to me as I was telling the young man that the dent wasn't there before and it was from his truck hitting me. The Chinese guy said no no no, that was there before he hit you. I said sir this is none of your business and he and I will handle it. I then told the young man I was going to call the police and get a police report. The young man begin to say please don't, I pay $400.00 every 6 month for insurance and with this accident I had two weeks ago and now this one, I'm sure I will get my insurance will be pulled. I said I was sorry. The young man then offered me $20.00 for the broken light, because he didn't believe his truck caused the dent to the door. I then said that dent wasn't there before. The Chinese guy started yelling at me again, saying in broken English, that the dent was there before. I said sir again please stay out of this. The two men went over to the Chinese guy's car and waited for the police to come. I called Dave back and told him I called the police and was waiting for them to come and fill out a report. He said he would get someone to bring him over to me. I wasn't far from home. About 15 minutes later Dave was there. I showed him the damage and he was ok, I thought he would say something to the young man. A few minutes later the police officer came. He gave us a form to fill out and checked to make sure we had insurance and our drivers license was up to date or to make sure we had one. I finished filling out the paper work, and the young man and police officer we talking, the young man said that his truck couldn't have made the dent, he said it broke the light, but couldn't make the dent. The police officer showed the young man where his black rubber that was on his bumper was now on my car. He said the truck did make the dent. Then the Chinese guy started to almost fight with the police officer, saying she said that the dent came from his truck, it didn't not. The police officer then asked who was the Chinese guy, he said he was a friend of the young mans. The officer asked if he was a witness, I yelled "no he wasn't" Dave told me to please don't get involved. I said he is lying. The officer asked him again if he was a witness, and the Chinese guy said no, he didn't see the accident. The officer then told him to leave and not say another word, or he would arrest him. I thought that was wonderful. So the police officer left and again the young man wanted me to go and get the car checked and see how much it was and he would pay for it. I said no, I'm calling my insurance company. I said I was sorry but that what I was doing. The young man said ok, and he was sorry and then we both left. As Dave and I was reading the police report we found out the young man was only 17. I felt bad, because he has had two accident at such a young age. I will keep you posted on all of this. I hope his insurance pays for my damages that he made to my car, because is wasn't my fault.
